Since living in Durango can sometimes seem like living in a bubble I thought it was important to post something about Hurricane Ike. So far its said that only 4 have died in Texas, but the body bags are still being carried around incase anyone is found to fill them. Hurricane Ike not only destroyed the coast of Texas, but severily damaged areas of Cuba. Total cost of damage is said to be over 8 billion dollars. A number that you would think with the war debt the United States cannot afford. Further information can be found online simply by searching Hurricane Ike into google.
